A new "Communities" feature hits WhatsApp
A new space in the messaging app for users to organize conversations by topics in common.
From late 2021, there's been talk of WhatsApp working on a new feature called Communities, and this has been recently confirmed.
WABetaInfo leaked the first picture of what this new feature would look like, so the WhatsApp team found themelved forced to confirm the rumors. They also shared their vision for what these "Communities" would look like and gave some details on their usage and tools.

These conversations are the WhatsApp groups we already know, so the draw of this feature is that it can organize and give structure to a large number of groups.
WhatsApp asserts this new feature was made with schools, institutions, clubs and any other kind of organization in mind, where the Admins are responsible for creating and managing the community, choosing the groups that will be part of it through creating them or choosing ones that are already existent, and have control over the chats, participants and content shared.
